The main differences between natural and synthetic vitamins

1. Absorption rate

Different vitamins have different synthetic and natural absorption rates.
For example, the body can absorb about 10 percent of folic acid from cow liver, and twice as much from synthetic folic acid. For vitamin B12, which comes naturally from food, the absorption rate is about 50 percent, while the synthetic absorption rate is nearly 100 percent. However, vitamin E is just the opposite, natural vitamin E absorption rate is 3.5 times higher than synthetic, and can produce greater physiological effects.

2. Physiological activity
Vitamins have a synergistic effect that makes natural vitamins more physically active and increases absorption by the body.

3. Stability
In general, synthetic vitamins are more stable, while natural vitamins are more easily oxidized or broken down. Accordingly, natural vitamin shelf life is relatively short, need dry, avoid light to wait for more safe storage environment.

4. Security
Natural vitamins exist in the diet, less content, more for nutritional supplements, generally a small amount of eating will not bring side effects to the human body; Synthetic vitamins are mostly pharmaceutical preparations, with higher content and purity. They are often used as drugs for disease prevention and treatment. They can not be abused generally, otherwise they will affect human health and even cause poisoning.

Natural vitamins also contain substances that chemically synthesized vitamins do not.
